Pop Diva Injured Knee Thursday Night In Moline

Chicago, IL - Bad news today for Britney Spears fans, her show scheduled for tonight at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illnois has been canceled.

The show, which has been sold out for weeks, was canceled this morning. About 15,000 were expected to attend.

ChicagoPride.com is being told the concert was canceled because Britney hurt her knee Thursday night during a show in Moline, Illinois where Spears was carried from the stage. She is being treated by a doctor for that injury.

The syndicated television show "Entertainment Tonight" reports the singer was hurt near the end of her set during a dance routine.

A notice on the TicketMaster website tells ticket holders to hold on to their tickets. Refunds will be given in the future if the event is not rescheduled. The event will possibly be rescheduled in late April, but no official date has been set.
