Chicago, IL - Following a 24-13 record as interim manager of the Chicago Cubs this year, Mike Quade has been signed to a two year contract. Quade was appointed following Lou Piniella's early retirement in late August. The Cubs announced the decision this morning in a press release.

Quade has a long, successful baseball resume which the Cubs will count on in hopes of a championship team, something not seen for more than 100 years.
