DJ Jerac makes his Hydrate Chicago debut, March 5

His hobby in college is now his profession and he finally will make his long-awaited debut on Saturday night, March 5, in the DJ booth at Hydrate Nightclub (3458 N. Halsted Street) in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.

Welcome, Jerac – a Colombian now living in Miami with 10-years of experience spinning.

Hydrate, he said, “has always been on my list of clubs to play.”

“I have many Latin fans and friends waiting for my debut there; I cannot wait for this moment,” he added. “I want to offer my musical style that has characterized me, a lot of drums and tribal sounds, I promise you a MUSICÖN and the best energy.”

Jerac, 30, has residencies around the world, including Alegria (New York), Ky Martinez (San Francisco), GPS (Los Angeles), Score (Miami), Xion (Atlanta), Matrix (Spain), El Mozo (Bogota) and Industry (Medellín).

“My first concert as a local DJ was an incredible experience, surrounded by my best friends and people who were beginning to believe in my talent,” he said. “My first international concert, it's something I don't know how to describe, a lot of anxiety to know what that you are going to live at that moment and a lot of adrenaline knowing that you are playing in another country for many people and representing your country.”

Jerac said his favorite DJs are Martin Garix, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and the Martínez Brothers.

“I am a professional DJ focused 100 percent on my career, to achieve what I want and be in a better position every day as an artist. I am fun and friendly; I love meeting new people, love parties I play.

“What motivates me the most to continue growing professionally as a DJ is always that I remember when I started as a DJ, dreaming of playing in the best festivals in each country with the best DJs and living in the U.S.A.
