Vocal powerhouse Brooke Eden, one of a growing number of young commercial country artists who have come out publicly, brings her brassy straight-shooting style to the Chicago Pride Fest stage on Saturday, October 2.
The singer-songwriter shared details of her coming-out journey through new music earlier this year.
In the music video for her breezy, effervescent single “Sunroof," Eden and her partner take a joy ride in a "candy apple" colored Mustang with palm trees and a beach in the background.
The song is about Eden's relationship with her partner of five years, Hilary, a promotions director at her record label.
“I didn't believe in love at first sight, but it was just this overwhelming feeling of peace — like I exhaled,”
she said. “And that was about as close to love at first sight as I've ever felt.”
Gay Times called Eden the “queer country superstar we need and deserve.”
With songs like “Sunroof” and the buoyant, soulful love song “Got No Choice”, her music is pure pop-country gold.
Brooke Eden performs the North Stage at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 2.
The 20th annual Chicago Pride Fest, which is organized by the
