The change was spurred by a widespread backlash.
"Thank you to everyone for making your voices heard. We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change," it wrote in a tweet. "OnlyFans stands for inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all creators."
The subscription-based content creation platform announced last week that it would begin to prohibit users from posting any sexually explicit content starting in October.
OnlyFans said the change was because of mounting pressure from banking partners and payment providers.
"JPMorgan Chase is particularly aggressive in closing accounts of sex workers or ... any business that supports sex workers," OnlyFans CEO Tim Stokely told The Financial Times.
The U.K.-based company says that it has 130 million users and 2 million creators and that it has paid out $5 billion to models and performers.
Bradley French, a Chicago-based creator, told GoPride.com he makes roughly $1,500 monthly with his content. He relies on the site to make money.
French, 41, was among many OnlyFans creators furious over the policy change.
“Looks like JustForFans will take over. OnlyFans will die in a year," he said. "Sex work is the oldest business in the world."
The backlash appears to have worked as OnlyFans will not implement a change in their policy.
