Queer Eye For Chicago House

Thu. January 8, 2004 12:00 AM by David Viggiano

Chicago, IL - Chicago House not only provides an invaluable service as a safe haven for homeless and low income Chicagoans who are living with HIV & AIDS.

They also know how to throw a party! And if you’ve never been to one of their soirees, may I suggest the World Tour Party 2004?

Their annual black tie fundraiser is one of the most fun and classy events of its kind.

And this year will be Bigger and Queerer than ever, thanks to special guest appearances by “Queer Eye For The Straight Guy’s” Kyan Douglas (the hunky grrrr-ooming guru) and (as just announced!) Ted Allen, the bespectacled food and wine connoisseur who’s returning for a quick visit to his hometown.

But if that’s not enough to convince you attend, there’s much more to entertain you than celebrity Queer Eye candy. The Baton Showgirls will perform as well as The Second City Comedy Troupe. DJ Ralphi Rosario will keep the beat boppin’ into the wee hours. And what’s party without Circuit Mom embracing her adoring children?

Fox News In The Morning’s Tamron Hall will be hosting the event that is all made possible by the big daddy of Chicago House, Reverend Stan Sloan (or as known those of us who know better: Father Fun!)

The event is this Saturday night, January 10 at the House of Blues. Tickets range from $250 to $500 and proceeds, naturally go to support Chicago House. If that’s a little steep for you to dish out after the holidays, for the first time they’re offer a late night ticket for only $50. Come later and dance till 2am.
