A unique club event at Scarlet Bar has gained the attention of a Grammy Award-winning producer/songwriter and DJ.

The weekly “No Skips” party – created in November by DJ Brryce Fersher and Scarlet general manager Angel Miranda – showcases an iconic album from start to finish.

“It’s a way to feature our favorite artists by playing songs not typically heard in the club,” Fersher told GoPride.com.

On Monday, the club announced to Instagram that ARTPOP, Lady Gaga’s third studio album, released in 2013, would be the featured album for the event on Friday, April 30.

Much to Fersher’s surprise, the post caught the attention of DJ White Shadow – a main producer of the studio album - who simply posted, “Should I come?”

The answer, a resounding, “YES!”

The Chicago-based DJ and longtime friend of Lady Gaga will host Friday’s sold-out “No Skips” event at Scarlet Bar, 3320 N. Halsted.

“He was eager to introduce the album and share stories about the songs,” Fersher said.

After his intro, the club will go straight into playing the album, which is shy of an hour-long. Afterwards, DJ White Shadow (real name Paul Blair), who worked on some of the most successful songs among Gaga's discography, including "Born This Way," "The Edge of Glory," and "Applause," will take questions from the audience.

“White Shadow is credited as a writer or producer on nearly the entire ARTPOP project,” said Fersher. “So, his stories will be an added layer of details fans haven’t gotten to experience before.”

The event - only at Scarlet - will stream live @DJWS on Instagram (www.instagram.com/djws) starting around 8:30 p.m. (CT).

All proceeds from event ticket sales will benefit Lady Gaga’s own Born This Way Foundation.

ARTPOP, which was released on November 6, 2013, landed at No. 2 on iTunes’ album chart on April 13, 2021 after #buyARTPOPoniTunes went viral on social media. The hashtag is part of a fan-powered movement for the pop star to release the second volume of ARTPOP.

DJ White Shadow recently commented on the possibility of a second volume.

“I talked to [Lady Gaga] last night, and she shared my incredible joy. We made a plan to get together after Italy and discuss your wishes. No promises made,” he wrote.

Perhaps fans will hear even more details when DJ White Shadow streams live from Scarlet in Chicago’s North Halsted neighborhood. Tune in, Little Monsters!
