Fireball 2004 Plans Announced

Includes Return to President's Day Weekend, New Exciting Venues, and Tickets On Sale

Chicago, IL - Fireball Weekend, a dazzling array of world-class talents and venues, returns permanently to President's Day Weekend in 2004. Fireball opening party "Ignition" will be held at The Aragon Ballroom on Friday, Feb. 13; followed by "Hearts On Fire" at Finkl Steel Mill on Saturday, Feb. 14, and "Inferno" at the Museum of Science and Industry on Sunday, Feb. 15; with after-hours and closing parties at Crobar Chicago on Monday, Feb. 16. Weekend passes, VIP tickets and individual event tickets are now on sale by calling 1-866-468-3401 or visiting ticketweb.com, thefireball.com or heartsfoundation.org.

Proceeds from Fireball benefit Chicago area LGBT and HIV/AIDS beneficiaries. This years beneficiaries include: AIDS Legal Council of Illinois, Chicago House, Horizons Community Services, Howard Brown Health Center, Test Positive Aware Network, Vital Bridges, Lesbian Community Cancer Project, Heartland Alliance Spang Dental Clinic, Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, About Face Youth Theatre, CALOR, Interfaith House, Gerber/Hart Library, BeHIV (Better Existence With HIV), HealthWorks Theatre, Legal Assistance Foundation, Oak Park Area Lesbian & Gay Association, and Open Door Clinic of Elgin.

Specific weekend/event information as follows:

Friday, February 13 - DJ Tracy Young "Ignites" your experience at the historic Aragon Ballroom (with lead-in by Greg Drescher). Recently voted the "Top Circuit Party Venue", the Aragon event moves to Friday, signaling that spectacular opening parties will remain a hallmark of Fireball Weekends. (10PM-5AM).

Saturday, February 14 - "Hearts" will stay "On Fire" when this event moves to the Finkl Steel Mill with the musical magic of DJ Abel and DJ Ralphi Rosario as ROSABEL. Anyone who went to the first-ever "steel mill party" in 2003 will marvel, as this venue is expanded and reconfigured for Saturday night. If you missed last year at Finkl, don't let it happen again! The 50-ton cranes will be grooving to the beat! (10PM-6AM).

Sunday, February 15 - The "Inferno" will roar into the Museum of Science and Industry with DJ Kimberly S and DJ Lydia Prim. Dance in the huge rotunda of this world-renowned cultural landmark with a 727 airliner and Coast Guard helicopter over your head, or relax among the unique exhibits that surround the party space. This venue has free indoor parking and a food court, which will operate during the event. (5PM-1AM).

Sunday, February 15 - The weekend will "Blaze" into the newly redesigned and expanded Crobar Chicago with Music by Susan Morabito lighting the fuse! This reinvented club is a "must see" on your visit in February. "Blaze" is currently limited to VIP Pass (Blue) and 4-Party Pass (Yellow) purchasers only. (11PM-4AM) The Fireball Shuttle will provide transfers to Crobar from the Museum of Science and Industry.

Monday, February 16 - Complete your holiday weekend in Chicago with a first-ever "DJ Showcase" event featuring the new stars of Chicago's dance music scene. Crobar Chicago will be the scene for our guests to complete their Fireball Weekend experience. This event is included in your VIP Pass (Blue). (Hours TBD).

The Hearts Foundation serves as an advocate for those affected by HIV/AIDS including support of medical, educational, nutritional and legal services designed to support them. The non-profit Foundation raises money by holding several local fundraising events including Chicago's annual Fireball Weekend each February.
