The 19th annual Chicago Pride Fest, June 22-23, 2019

Adam Barta is more than just another pop voice on the scene and his accomplishments - from having the #1 ultimate sexiest video of all time on Logo to scoring a Top 20 Billboard hit with Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge - reflects that in spades. Barta returns to the Windy City for Chicago Pride Fest this year.

"It is an absolute honor to be part of such a phenomenal line up this year, with the crown jewel being LeAnn Rimes, who I am a huge fan of," Barta told GoPride.com. "To be asked to be part of Stonewall 50 is just iconic. I am humbled and grateful and will always consider Chicago like a second home when I visit."

The 39-year-old Bronx-born singers is likely best known for his duets and viral videos with reality stars and media personalities such as Alana Thompson (Honey Boo Boo) from Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Farrah Abraham, Margaret Cho, Nadya Suleman (Octomom), Patricia Krentcil (Tan Mom) and Jonah Falcon.

Barta is also known for his collaborations with artists like Kathy Sledge (of Sister Sledge) and music videos featuring comedic stars such as Lisa Lampanelli that often land him in the press on sites such as TMZ.

He starred on the WE tv series Dr. Miami and in 2018 he released a single called "Peep Me Tonight" with hip-hop star Mariahlynn from the TV series "Love and Hip Hop New York".

In 2018, he also released the viral hit, "Free 2 Be Me" with Tan Mom, which Howard Stern called an "earworm" and "the greatest song of all time.

"Our song "Free 2 Be Me" has taken on a new meaning this pride season," he said. "In fact, since that song came out, we have been overjoyed to see all the social movements using that as a unifying pride rallying cry."

"As many people are asking, not to worry because I will be doing 'Free 2 Be Me'. Also a couple of my other Billboard hits, a revival of an old 'Drag Race' duet favorite, as well as a couple new songs -- including a live debut of my summer pride anthem produced by my chart topping partner Electropoint and featuring the fabulous Lovari, 'No Day Like Today!' Get ready Chicago!"

Adam Barta performs the North Stage at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 23. The 19th annual Chicago Pride Fest takes place on June 22-23, one weekend before the annual Chicago Pride Parade. It runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. down North Halsted Street from Addison to Grace. A $10 suggested donation is requested at the entrance.

This year's festival honors the birth of the pride movement by recognizing the 50th anniversary of Stonewall.

The 2019 Chicago Pride Parade, celebrating its 50th year, is Sunday, June 30 starting at noon.

Chicago Pride Fest is organized by and benefits the Northalsted Business Alliance, the organization behind Northalsted Market Days, Frost Fest and the Halloween Parade.
