Ronnie Kroell chosen to follow up Levi Johnson on Playgirl cover

Chicago, IL - Forget Levi Johnson, it seems Ronnie Kroell's chiseled body will be the next to grace the cover of Playgirl magazine.

Kroell confirms exclusively to ChicagoPride.com - GoPride.com that he has been chosen to be the follow up to Levi Johnson as the next cover model. This announcement follows months of speculation after ChicagoPride.com first reported the 27-year-old fashion model was in negotiations with Playgirl in late January.

"The theme of this shoot will be to celebrate fashion and one's ability to express themselves," Kroell told ChicagoPride.com. "But also throughout the shoot being able to see beyond the clothing labels and beyond the labels that society puts on us to reveal something we all have - the human body, fragile, vulnerable and beautiful."

In a photo shot to take place March 24th with acclaimed photographer Lope Navo, Kroell says "we will capture masculinity, femininity, sex appeal, playfulness, and mystery that will captivate and inspire."

Kroell also tells ChicagoPride.com, unlike Johnson, he has agreed to full frontal.

Playgirl spokesperson Daniel Nardicio told RadarOnline.com "We think Ronnie Kroell is the perfect follow up to Levi Johnston: classic good looks, an amazing body and great style. And he'll deliver."

The Chicago-native was the runner-up on Bravo's "Make Me A Supermodel," but it was Kroell's combination of good looks, charitable contributions and boy-next-door charm that earned him favor with the show's fans.

Kroell was the last remaining male model receiving the second most votes in the first season. One of the most played-up plot lines from the season was Kroell's "bromance" relationship with Ben DiChiara, his straight, married roommate in the models' house.

After the show, Kroell was showcased on the September 2008 cover of Instinct Magazine, but this Playgirl spread promises to be a completely different pictorial.

Kroell has since moved to New York City where he continues modeling and is a student. He also continues philanthropic ventures.

"This is one of the most exciting and challenging times in my life," said Kroell.

The summer issue featuring Ronnie Kroell will be on newsstands mid May.
