Furball Market Days set to debut Saturday night at The Metro

Tue. August 7, 2018

Joe Fiore has been to Chicago each of the past five years, in late-May, for Furball IML.

Now it's time for Furball Market Days, which makes its debut on Saturday night, Aug. 11, starting at 10:30 p.m., at The Metro (3730 N. Clark St.) in Wrigleyville.

"I'm very excited to be part of Market Days," said Fiore, the Furball promotor and director of JMF Productions.

About 1,400 attended Furball IML. Fiore predicted 500 to 750, minimum, will attend Furball Market Days.

DJ Aron (Israel) will be joined by DJ Ale Mae (Chicago resident from Brazil).

"(There will be) great music and reasonable drinks, plus four super-hot daddy/pup/porn dancers," said Fiore, who noted that the crowd likely will be filled with many who ID as Muscle, Daddy, Pup, Bear, Cub, Sexy, Masculine, Furry, Scruffy, etc.  "We are a diverse crowd and anyone is welcome.

"There are so many people in town (for Market Days) and so many great events going on; it's a great time to throw a party."

Admission to Furball Market Days is $16, if purchased in advance, or $20 at the door.

The event ends at 5 a.m.

Fiore said fetish and gear wear is encouraged, such as harnesses, jockstraps, etc.

The music will be a blend of house, circuit, vocals and techhouse.

"Furball has been the biggest Saturday night dance party during the IML weekend (in May)," Fiore said. "Furball is a New York-based dance with a distinct feel, good vibe that keeps people coming back."

Furball has parties in Chicago, New Orleans, New York City, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Provincetown, Dallas and other cities.  Furball has featured such noted DJs as Jack Chang, Barry Harris, Alex Acosta, Ralphi Rosario, Dan Darlington and others.
