Chicago, IL -
The Broadway Youth Center (BYC), a youth-focused wellness and drop-in health center, has opened its new, dedicated home at 4009 N. Broadway.
According to Howard Brown Health, which operates the youth and health services center, the new, larger space is able to provide more basic needs drop-in programming, behavioral health services, walk-in clinic hours, a GED classroom, storage lockers, insurance navigation, a computer lab, in-house laundry services, and showers.
The center is a "safe haven" for more than 1,500 teens and young adults seeking refuge, medical care, social services, clothes and other much-needed care, according to it's website.
All services at BYC are provided for young people ages 12 through 24 on a sliding scale, and everyone is seen, regardless of their ability to pay. The center is open open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
