Man found unresponsive at Boystown bathhouse, police investigating

Chicago, IL - Chicago police are investigating the death of a 36-year-old man found unresponsive at Steamworks, 3246 N. Halsted, late Monday night.

The man was found inside a tub in the jacuzzi and sauna area of the Boystown bathhouse around 11:15 p.m., according to police. He was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and pronounced dead at 11:58 p.m.



The cause of the death remains unknown as police continue an investigation. Foul play is not suspected and an autopsy is scheduled. 

Steamworks Chicago offered no comment at this time when contacted by ChicagoPride.com. 

Steamworks operates three additional locations in Berkeley, CA; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Toronto, Canada.
