Third Replay planned, taking over Headquarters Lakeview

LKH Management expands Replay brand into Lincoln Park/Lakeview and announces search for another location downtown

Chicago, IL - Hot on the heels of closing Boystown's Seven Nightclub, The Den and Manhole, entertainment group LKH Management says it's opening a third Replay location by taking over the Headquarters Beercade in Lakeview.

The Headquarters location at 2833 N. Sheffield was previously expected to close completely, but LKH President Mark Liberson told ChicagoPride.com the refreshed concept will now be called Replay Lincoln Park/Lakeview. People who head to the beercade after the Nov. 19 transition date can expect an expanded craft beer selection, premium bourbon offerings and new game titles.

But will the new location cater to the LGBT community like its sisters at 3439 N. Halsted in Boystown and 5358 N. Clark in Andersonville?

"Everyone is welcome!" replied an LKH spokesperson. LKH also confirmed that it will open a Mexican-themed restaurant called Stone Rose Cantina in the former King's County Tap location at 2576 N. Lincoln Ave. later this winter. This would mark two new ventures for the traditionally LGBT-focused entertainment group.

But that doesn't mean that Replay is finished growing. Despite just closing three nightspots at the corner of Belmont and Sheffield and losing 11-year partner Sean Kotwa, LKH announced it will bring on Headquarters' Mark Kwiatkowski as Partner. It'll be his job to oversee growth and expansion of the Replay brand, including the search for a potential downtown location.

This news follows the recent settlement of a lawsuit among Kwiatkowski and his Headquarters' partners Brian Galati and Chireal Jordan where, according to Eater, included accusations that Kwiatkowski bilked $2 million from Headquarters before helping LKH open two Replay beercade locations.

A statement from LKH notes that assets were split and Kwiatkowski took control of the 2833 N. Sheffield location. He then approached LKH to partner and expand the Replay brand.

"We're thrilled for Mark Kwiatkowski to join the LKH Management team to create an enhanced destination for the new Replay Lincoln Park/Lakeview," said Liberson. "His expertise and Replay's combination of craft beer, premium bourbon, free vintage video arcade games and pinball will make for an exciting new location that local patrons will love."

The popular Headquarters Beercade in River North will not be affected as a part of this deal. Galati and Jordan also told Eater they plan to open a new location with food options in the spring of 2017.
