Trump offers protection and support to LGBTQ comminty

Fri. July 22, 2016

Cleveland, OH - In his acceptance speech to the Republican National Convention Thursday evening in Cleveland, Republican Presidential nominee Donal Trump offered words about the LGBTQ community never before heard from a GOP presidential candidate:

""Only weeks ago, in Orlando, Florida, 49 wonderful Americans were savagely murdered by an Islamic terrorist. This time, the terrorist targeted our LGBTQ community. No good. We are going to stop it," said the nominee.

"As your President, I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology, believe me," Trump said.

After thunderous cheering from the crowd at his statement, Trump went on to say to the delegates: "And I have to say as a Republican, it is so nice to hear you cheering for what I just said," he said. "Thank you."
