Vasquez presents the next generation of House music with new compilation

Chicago, IL - One of the most celebrated DJs and remixers of his time, house music innovator Junior Vasquez returns to headline Nitro at Chicago's Circuit Night Club this Saturday, May 30th.

"I love Boystown and love Circuit," says the legendary Vasquez. "It reminds me of [NYC's ] Twilo."

Vasquez returns to the Windy City having just released his first continuous compilation in three years: Generation Next, out on Tommy Boy Silver Label. The hotly anticipated release is a collection of contemporary hard house beats delivered by one of dance music's undisputed masters in a relentless 14-track compilation that pulls listeners in from the first beat to the last.

Decidedly forward-looking in its sound, Generation Next showcases fresh cuts from some of the hottest up-and-coming spinners working the decks today: Twisted Dee, DeMarko!, and Bimbo Jones (an ES fave!) are but three of the young talents who add their progressive perspective to the compilation's massive BPM-barrage.

"I'm at a point in my life where I'm comfortable in my career and happy to share the spotlight with the next generation of DJs who inspire me," Vasquez says. "They're the ones who will ultimately carry on my legacy." "Of course, I don't plan on leaving this scene anytime soon," Vasquez smiles. "I'm still having too much fun."

Vasquez says he's "ready to serve" the Chicago crowd at Circuit. "I have amazing new mixes off my first single from the album, GENERATION NEXT ‘Insecurities', which are on fire!"

In addition to spinning Circuit Night Club, 3431 N Halsted, on Saturday night, Vasquez will make an appearance at Borderline Music, 3333 N Broadway, Saturday May 30th at 3 p.m.

Junior Vasquez: Generation Next (Tommy Boy Silver Label) is available now on iTunes, Beatport and Masterbeat. Visit tommyboy.com for more info.
