Toronto -
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will march in Toronto's annual Gay Pride parade.
Trudeau will participate in the July 3 parade, organizers announced on Tuesday.
"Very much look forward to being there again, this time as PM," Trudeau tweeted to his 1.4 million followers in English and French.
Trudeau is the first prime minister to march in Toronto's annual parade.
Toronto's Pride Week is a ten-day celebration held at the end of June. It is one of the largest Gay Pride festivals in the world, drawing an estimated 1 million visitors to the city in 2014.
Trudeau was elected in October with an inclusive message.
On Wednesday, Trudeau wished Twitter followers a happy Pink Shirt Day, which fights bullying.
Wearing a pink t-shirt, Trudeau said in a video: "We remember that our differences are a source of strength, not weakness, and that kindness is one size fits all."
