Gay men shot dead in Iraq

Chicago, IL - CNN reports that in the past ten days, six gay men were killed by members of their own tribe in the Sadr City area of Baghdad.

Iraq's Interior ministry told CNN that there were two separate incidents.



The most recent involved two men who were shot to death on Thursday, following a tribal meeting. The members decided to go after the victims

Last week, officials told CNN that four additional men were fatally shot in the same city.

All of the men were disowned by their relatives for being gay.
