Windy City Times, Chicago's LGBT weekly newspaper, has released its ratings of mayoral and aldermanic candidates in the Feb. 24 elections. Only candidates who completed the WCT questionnaire were rated.
In the race for mayor, three of the five candidates filled out the WCT survey. Jesus Garcia ranked highest, with an A+ rating, and incumbent Mayor Rahm Emanuel and challenger Bob Fioretti each received an A-. The complete survey ratings are linked here, and include ratings by political groups and unions.
For the first time, Windy City Times has also posted all of the survey responses on its website so readers can make their own decisions on the candidates.

Cappleman, Mell, Tunney face challengers in Chicago municipal election

Mayor Rahm Emanuel has received the endorsement of Chicago Tribune,Crain's Chicago Business and Chicago Sun-Times. Challenging Emanuel are Ald. Bob Fioretti, Cook County Commissioner Jesus Garcia, businessman Willie Wilson and activist William Walls. Emanuel is favored to win re-election.
