Tom Daley poses for cover of new ‘Attitude’

British Olympic diver Tom Daley says coming out gay shouldn't make headlines.

The 20-year-old Daley made a splash seven months ago when he revealed in a YouTube video that he's in love with a man. We've since learned that that man is Milk screenwriter and LGBT rights activist Dustin Lance Black.

Daley also said in the clip that he still "fancied girls" but later declared he was "a gay man."

In a cover story for UK gay glossy Attitude, Daley said he didn't think coming out should grab headlines.

"I don't think it should be news," Daley said. "I don't think it matters who you choose to be in a relationship with."

"But I understand that it is still news. I think we live in a society that is far more accepting than it was five or ten years ago, but we've still got a way to go before people no longer assume you're in a heterosexual relationship."

Daley added that "at some point I would love to marry and have kids."
