Parade route restaurants for Pride brunch

Chicago, IL - Pride Week will bring people into Chicago's Lakeview neighorhood from all over the place to celebrate the festive activities. It is essential for any kind of tourist in Chicago to find shelter, but also find a good restaurant to eat at a good price.



In Lakeview (where the Pride Festival/Parade will be taking place) it can be difficult to find substantial food at a budget. However, there are many great restaurants in Lakeview that serve brunch under $16.00 a person before all the festivities start.

Starting it off would be DS Tequila Company which is conveniently located on 3352 N. Halsted, Chicago. This bar/restaurant has a great weekend brunch menu that includes specialties such as monkey bread, breakfast quesadillas, jalapeno cheese grits and barbeque shrimp, chilaquiles, breakfast sandwiches, and chicken and biscuits, which all cost under $12.95 an entree.



The restaurant will be having an exclusive Pride Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 29, which will include tickets for a $40.00 food and champagne package. The meal package will include a Tex-Mex styled breakfast buffet and one bottle of champagne per person. The tickets will also give customers an advanced viewing of the Pride Parade on their retractable rooftop for their pride patio party.



"We have been hosting these specialty brunches, ever since we opened four years ago,"  says Jahrmel Cossd, manager.  "The brunch takes place on the patio of our restaurant and is the best seat in the house for the parade."

Then there is sports bar and restaurant Crew, 4804 North Broadway Street, that is great for any meal of the day including brunch. This restaurant features a more laid back and traditional array of options such as chicken and waffles and biscuits and gravy for at prices all under $10.00.

Magnolia Café on 1224 W Wilson Ave, is known as one of Chicago's best restaurant for its wide array of elegant dining specials up to $15.00. Their menu features a more lavish set of brunch items such as Huevos Rancheros, smoked trout, croissant sandwich, shrimp omelets, poached eggs, grilled petit filet of beef and crab cakes.

Halsted's Bar & Grill on 3441 N Halsted, has a wide appetizer and lunch menu. The restaurant is known for their specialty selections like their wraps, entree salads, burgers, appetizers, and full dish entrees. Everything on the menu is conveniently under the price of $13.95.

Anyone outside of town who wants to dine in before Pride Festival can come to these substantial restaurants for a wide variety of brunch entrees for a great start to their Pride Parade morning.
