Chicago, IL -
Def Mix is Back! DJ Pierre VS David Morales hand the masses "Make It Hot" on Definity Records. DJ Pierre's mix is slightly more progressive, with deeper sounds and a flowing beat. Morales'mix, which has a sexy tribal feel, gives us deep beats that make you bounce as the singer demands "Hey DJ! Make It Hot!"
As she graced Boi's last cover, Madonna's "American Life" (Maverick) finally comes with dance mixes for all tastes. For those on the house tip check out Felix Da Housecat's slice up. If you're into Hip-Hop Missy Elliot delivers a redux and lastly, for the boyz Peter Rauhofer gives listeners a part 1 and 2 from which to choose. Something for everyone!
Meat Katie's new cut "K-Hole" is another example why SAW records is one of the best domestic progressive labels. The original mix has a haunting industrial feel to it, while the Elite Force mix has a slight break-beat sound. Circuit sissies beware: the mixes are definitely NOT cream and sugar sounding. Those who like their coffee darker will like this cut.
Becky Baeling's follow up to "If You Love Me' is called " Getaway " on Universal Records. The first release has mixes from Mike Rizzo and Dave Aude. Rizzo's mix and dub are very pop/mainstream oriented with a snappy flavor. Becky's beautiful vocals shine through. Aude's mix is more uptempo on the trance side. The mixes guarantee another hit for Baeling.
