Two men injured in Lakeview gang incident

Chicago, IL - Two men were injured in what police believed was a gang-related fight in Lakeview Sunday morning, according to the Chicago Tribune. 

The incident happened around 4 a.m. on the 1000 block of West Belmont Avenue. 



The Tribune reported, a 25-year-old man was cut by a knife and the person suspected of cutting him then backed up a vehicle, running over another man.  

The incident began with two groups of people fighting shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday, according to DNA Info

No one is in custody. The man struck by the car was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. The man cut by the knife refused medical attention.
