TimeLine Theatre hosts an hour-long panel discussion featuring top Chicago AIDS prevention and assistance advocates, Sunday, Dec. 1, following the theatre's production of Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart.
The discussion will be moderated by TimeLine Associate Artistic Director (and The Normal Heart director) Nick Bowling and featuring guest panelists who have extensive expertise in the themes and issues of the play The Normal Heart.
Participating panelists include: Lori Cannon, long-time Chicago AIDS activist and support service provider; Lisa Henry-Reid, MD, Chair of the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Stroger Hospital, who has been involved in extensive research related to HIV/AIDS; and David Ernesto Munar, President/CEO of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.
The free panel discussion begins at approximately 4:40 p.m., after conclusion of matinee performance of The Normal Heart at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. Tickets to the pre-panel performance of The Normal Heart are $50 each and may be purchased via 773.327.5252 or timelinetheatre.com/tickets.
Since opening in early November, The Normal Heart has been listed among the best-reviewed plays running in Chicago, according to theatreinchicago.com.
This panel discussion supports TimeLine's mission of presenting plays inspired by history that generate a dialogue about today's social and political issues.
The discussion is presented in partnership with the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.
