New TPAN location in Uptown to open Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 9 a.m.

Chicago, IL - The Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN) and Positively Aware will be relocating from their location in Edgewater to a new, bigger space a few blocks south in the Uptown neighborhood.

The social service organization's present location at 5537 N. Broadway will close to the public Thursday as the staff prepares for the move on Friday. TPAN will reopen at its new location, 5050 N. Broadway, on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 9 a.m.

The new space, which is located close to the Red Line stop at Argyle, is larger and will provide additional space for groups and individual counseling rooms.

Founded in 1987, TPAN is Chicago's oldest peer-led AIDS service organization and specializes in treatment information, support services and prevention. Positively Aware is a bi-monthly magazine published by TPAN and devoted to HIV treatment and wellness.

The organization's phone number will remain the same (773-989-9400).
