Chicago, IL - Orbitz.com was the first major online travel agency to create a dedicated gay travel microsite in June 2002. Extending the celebration of gay pride beyond the month of June, Orbitz is launching an online charity auction, aimed at raising funds for top charities including Human Rights Campaign (HRC), GLAAD and The Matthew Shepard Foundation. In addition to the auction, Orbitz launches a hotel and package sale to help travelers find great deals to pride events worldwide.

Orbitz has partnered with several other committed companies, such as Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Paris Las Vegas, Luxor, Treasure Island, New York - New York Hotel & Casino, and the True Colors Tour who have donated auction items.



Proceeds from the auctions will be donated directly to various worthy charities, including HRC, GLAAD, and The Matthew Sheppard Foundation.
