DJ Joe Bermudez Mixes First of Two CDs Benefiting the Gay Games

Chicago, IL - The world will be watching Chicago from 15-22 July 2006 as the city hosts an international contingent of athletes, artists and spectators for the 2006 Chicago Gay Games. Centaur is excited to announce a partnership with the Chicago Gay Games, making Centaur the Official Music Sponsor. Centaur will produce two official CDs for the Chicago Gay Games, including a new dance mix entitled "Gay Games Chicago 2006," mixed by XM Satellite Radio jock Joe Bermudez, who is well known for his smash hit radio mixes for Kelly Clarkson, Shakira and Jessica Simpson. "Gay Games Chicago 2006" will be in stores nationwide on April 4.

"We are excited about this partnership to produce an Official CD for Gay Games VII," said Tracy Baim, chair of the board's development committee. "This CD not only provides an opportunity to raise money for the Games, it also promotes visibility across a broad spectrum of potential registrants and spectators. We thank the artists who donated their time to help make this project a reality." A portion of the sale of each official CD will benefit the 2006 Gay Games.

"Gay Games Chicago 2006" is a high energy, continuous dance mix that includes seven international #1 artists, Grammy Award Nominated songs and remixers, plus four Billboard #1 hits including "Dreamer" which hit the top of the charts in 25 countries. Bermudez has combined classic house hits with today's hottest dance vibes keeping the emphasis on uplifting and powerful vocals.

"It is quite an honor to be selected to mix the official CD of the Chicago Gay Games," says Bermudez. "I put together an energetic mix to be enjoyed by all. For the athlete preparing to compete or the fan looking to enjoy the festivities, these songs will provide some musical motivation while simply making you feel good."

Bermudez reaches mass audiences weekly with his mixshows on XM Satellite Radio (81 BPM) and Music Choice, plus regular features on Open House Party , the largest syndicated radio show on the planet. Bermudez is also an accomplished remixer and his remixes have played on Z100 in New York and KIIS FM in Los Angeles, helping to take artists like Jesse McCartney and Hillary Duff to the top of the CHR/Pop Charts. Additionally, Bermudez produces and sometimes hosts VIP on XY TV, which is a music video and live performance show based in his hometown of Boston.

The second Official CD for the Chicago Gay Games is scheduled for release in the early summer, prior to the Open Ceremony of the Chicago Gay Games. "Gay Games Chicago 2006" will be sold in record stores nationwide including Virgin Megastore, Tower Records, Spec*s Music, as well as online at www.gaygameschicago.org and www.centaurmusic.com.
