An ad for the reelection campaign of President Barack Obama asks young people to not forget their gay and lesbian friends on election day.
In the 30-second ad, titled GottaRegister.com, a male announces asks, "What are you going to tell them?" over images of young people playing video games and having fun.
"You were just too busy? You didn't think it mattered?"
"Is that what you're going to tell your friends who can't get married?" the announcer asks as a gay male couple is seen holding hands while walking in a park. "The ones who couldn't serve openly in the military?"
"Why not have a different conversation about how you voted for them," the announcer adds.
The ad reminds viewers that Obama's GOP rival, Mitt Romney, opposes marriage rights for gay couples and opposed ending the military policy "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
