MIKA has just announced his first US live dates in support of his forthcoming album, The Origin of Love, due out on Universal Republic on October 16. The run of dates include performances in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Tickets for the performances go on sale Friday, August 24. He just released the video for the album's lead single "Celebrate" to international acclaim. Watch the jubilant video here. "The song was written by Mika and produced by Nick Littlemore from Empire of the Sun and features Pharrell Williams on vocals. Mika recently performed it at the Olympics. The "Celebrate" single will be available on iTunes September 4th.

The Origin of Love is Mika's third album.
Completely self-created and self-imagined, ‘The Origin of Love' has been a two-year DIY labour of love for Mika who has put together everything on the record himself, flying around the world under his own steam personally assembling an incredible roll call of collaborators – In addition to Nick Littlemore and Pharrell Williams, Mika has also worked with William Orbit, Benny Benassi, FrYars, Greg Wells (Katy Perry, Adele), and Klas Ahlund (Robyn's Body Talk) as well as working with some brand new unsigned musicians he found himself online.
