PrideFest Milwaukee continues Saturday with Taylor Dayne

PrideFest Milwaukee opens today at noon

Milwaukee, WI - PrideFest Milwaukee reopens Saturday at noon, celebrating the 25th anniversary of one of the nation's largest and longest-running LGBT pride events.

The annual pride celebration on Milwaukee's Summerfest grounds opened Friday afternoon to beautiful sunny skies and a high temperature of 87 degrees.



After declaring PrideFest 2012 officially open, the party continued into the evening with a headline performance by Belinda Carlisle on the Miller Lite Main Stage.

The festival continues Saturday with headliner Taylor Dayne, known for her top 10 hit "Tell It to My Heart." This is Dayne's second appearance in PrideFest's history.

Closing the festival Sunday will be Berlin (featuring Terri Nunn) with God-Des & She. On Sunday evening, "RuPaul Drag Race" winner Sharon Needles will perform at the PumpWorks Dance Pavilion.



This year PrideFest offers a happy-hour, with $2 savings on all mixed drinks for the first two hours of business each day. This special, not valid on beer or wine, will be effective Saturday and Sunday from noon - 2 p.m.

PrideFest Milwaukee runs through Sunday, June 10 and is open Saturday from noon - midnight and Sunday from noon - 10 p.m. with the Dance Pavilion open until midnight.

General admission tickets are $15 per day and are available at the Summerfest Will Call windows.
