Pomeroy, Northern Ireland -
Leaders of the Catholic Church in Ireland are trying to figure out how in the world a priest ended up showing gay porn images as part of a PowerPoint during a first communion class attended by parents.
CNN reports that the parents in Pomeroy, County Tyrone, were "horrified."
Presumably, the images got on the priest's computer somehow, although he says he had nothing to do with it and doesn't know how it happened. The church is investigating, but police are not.
"The incident has been reported to us, we have advised that no criminal offences have been disclosed at this time -- and anything else is a matter for the CCMS (Council for Catholic Maintained Schools) or the diocese," police told CNN.
CNN said that parents planned to protest outside the church on Sunday, but called off their event when they heard that Father Martin McVeigh was not around.
