Brett Henrichsen has always had a passion for dance music! Working by day as a marketing executive in corporate America, Brett spent most of his other waking hours in clubs and record stores. He loved listening to his favorite style of music - high-energy vocal and progressive dance fare – as well as watching and learning from many of the top DJs he encountered.
During this initial discovery of dance music Henrichsen soon became frustrated to learn that the vast majority of music he was hearing in the clubs was not available for purchase by the general public. He set out to rectify that situation and started the CD compilation series MASTERbeat in an effort to make these tracks accessible to more than just the nightclub DJ. The series proved to be immensely popular and its subsequent success led Brett to leave the corporate world and start his own independent record label, Trax Recording.
After years of being on the dance floor and sharing in everyone’s frustration with an occasional night of “off music”, Henrichsen’s goal as a DJ has been to play a consistent style. By keeping in touch with current trends and playing an occasional retired anthem or old favorite in every set, this consistent style has served Brett well. His initial success as DJ began at the exclusive MASTERbeat: The Club parties held semi-annually at Los Angeles hotspot nightclubs such as Orbit and The Factory. Subsequently over the years his immense popularity has resulted in Henrichsen playing at almost every major circuit event in the country, including Gay Days Orlando, New York Pride Pier Dance, San Diego Zoo Party, Cherry 8 in Washington, DC, and the White Parties in Palm Springs and Miami. Brett is also a resident DJ on Atlantis cruises.
Brett has received rave reviews throughout his career; including international acclaim for his 10-hour guest set at the Amsterdam White Party, the largest circuit event in Europe. He is one of the few US circuit DJs to “crossover” to the international mainstream and routinely plays abroad in Amsterdam, Ibiza, London, Paris, Sydney, Sao Paulo and Rio.
