Sun. March 11, 2012

Columbus, Ohio - Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer says he's sorry that the team has been making loafers wear lavender jerseys.

A player talked about the punishment last month.

"You don't want to wear those shirts at all," said linebacker Etienne Sabino.

When the Ohio State campus group "Scarlet and Gay" complained, Meyer they'd stop, and that the rule wasn't meant to offend anyone.

"Please accept our sincere apologies," he said. "We have core values of respect and honor within our program."
