AOL MUSIC announces world-wide premiere of singer’s latest single

New York - January 23, 2012 marks the premiere of vocal artist Adam Tyler's "Like A Drug" on global media platform, AOL MUSIC. Promoters say "Like A Drug," "…encapsulates the artist's sensual vocals, dark edge, and hypnotic beats." The video follows Tyler's 2011 U.S. summer tour which made stops at famed LGBT establishments like Chicago's Spin Nightclub.

Filmed on location in an abandoned warehouse outside of London, the video premiere features elaborately choreographed dance numbers, characterized lighting and a "dramatic" black-rich color palette.

"Adam and I planned for months talking in detail about what was really inspiring, using one another as sounding boards," says "Drug" video director Dan Shipton. "I wanted to give him the chance to play a strong character that has many levels of depth, whilst honoring that the final product would be a pop video for all generations. What we created has a post-apocalyptic feel that transitioned the song away from love, and gave it an entirely new meaning. I think we've managed to achieve this successfully; there's something in it for everybody."

Gifting fans in wait of the video's unveiling, Tyler released a cover of the holiday classic, "O Holy Night." The track revises the favorite to adopt his sense of electro-centric embellishments. The track is currently available via Tyler's social networks with "Like a Drug's" video premiere launching January 23, 2012 on AOL MUSIC, music.aol.com
