Chicago, IL -
Chicago's bars and nightclubs will do their share to fight HIV/AIDS when they participate in "BAR AIDS," a first-time event where area drinking establishments will donate a portion of the day's sales on Thursday, September 23, to AIDSCare, a 12-year-old organization that provides invaluable housing, care and support services to thousands in greater Chicago.
In addition, VOX Vodka, the event's major supporting sponsor, will donate for each VOX drink sold during BAR AIDS up to $10,000. And, customers will have an opportunity to enter a drawing for two roundtrip airline tickets within the continental U.S. courtesy of Orbitz during the event.
"We 're very excited about this new fundraiser and hope it becomes as big an annual event as the Dining Out for Life benefit on which the BAR AIDS concept is based," says Jim Flosi, executive director of AIDSCare.
