Popular Website Announces a New Commitment to Creating Community

Chicago, IL - ChicagoPride.com, the ultimate online resource for Chicago’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans-gendered community, unveiled the newest version of its popular website. The all-new ChicagoPride.com gives consumers a more personal and interactive experience while unveiling the site’s commitment to creating a high-quality environment for Chicago’s GLBT Community to meet and interact online.

“With this latest version of our site, we hope to create an essential communications portal for Gay Chicago,” said R. Matthew Inawat, president. “ChicagoPride.com is focused on continually innovating and improving our unique user experience,” added Inawat.

As part of the new release, the MatchMaker personals, a unique feature to ChicagoPride.com, are featured more prominently on the site. The MatchMaker Personals, first introduced in 2000, has quickly grown to become the most popular online dating service for Chicago’s GLBT market reaching over 18,000 full member profiles in August, 2004.

The ChicagoPride.com MatchMaker offers the opportunity to search for, meet and communicate with people who share common interests; however, unlike the “partially free” services, ChicagoPride.com’s service remains truly free of charge.

Also by capitalizing on the site’s technology strengths, ChicagoPride.com has created the most-comprehensive and fully interactive database of events and businesses in the community. ChicagoPride.com members are able to search and personalize the events calendar and business directory to create a better online experience for the individual user.

ChicagoPride.com continues to add unique local content and new partnerships, including the Chix Channel (http://chix.chicagopride.com) in partnership with Chix Mix Productions and the Howard Brown Health Center Youth Channel (http://youth.chicagopride.com).
