Anti-gay pastor Harris Himes claims gays caused his arrest

Thu. September 29, 2011

Hamilton, Montana - The so-called Rev. Harris Himes, a notorious anti-gay activist, was arrested in his home state of Montana this week on charges of investment fraud.

Now, Himes says he knows who's being the six felony charges -- the same gays and lesbians he's been ranting against.

The state of Montana accuses Himes and a friend, Jeb Bryant, of running an imaginary company called Duratherm Building Systems, and getting at least one investor to fork over $150,000.

Himes ran unsuccessfully for a school board in Montana and is well-known for campaigning against Missoula's anti-discrimination ordinance. He said it would allow transgender people to go into public bathrooms of either sex.
