Four in 10 Palm Beach County Republicans support the Supreme Court of Florida's decision to stop the secretary of state from certifying the state's presidential vote on Saturday, according to a poll conducted for WPTV television the NBC affiliate in West Palm Beach, Florida. Overall, 6 in 10 Palm Beach County adults agree with the decision. The poll was conducted of 500 county adults immediately following the ruling Friday afternoon.
"Most in Palm Beach County, including a lot of Republicans, want Florida to keep counting," said Fred Bierman, editor of the survey.
Those supporting the state Supreme Court's decision include:
-- 74% of Independents
-- 70% of Democrats
-- 66% of voters 55 and older
-- 65% of young adults
-- 55% of middle-aged adults
-- 41% of Republicans
