Local personalities encourage diversity and show support for Chicago’s Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender community during Pride Month.
Fox News Chicago Meteorologist Michelle Leigh and morning radio personality DreX from Kiss-FM (103.5FM) have been named guests of honor on the ChicagoPride.com float at the 35th Annual Pride Parade on Sunday, June 27th. The Parade steps off at 12 Noon from the Halsted/Belmont corner proceeding north on Halsted; then south on Broadway; then east on Diversey to Cannon Drive.
The Chicago Pride Parade, organized by PrideChicago (www.chicagopridecalendar.org), began in 1970 has since become a mainstream event with nearly 400,000 spectators taking in the festivities last year. The Pride Parade is the second-largest parade in the Windy City, with 232 registered entries participating in 2003.
ChicagoPride.com is excited to welcome Michelle Leigh as guest of honor. In addition to working as the morning meteorologist on Fox, Michelle is an aspiring actress and has performed in the Vagina Monologues at the Apollo Theater and with Second City.
