Chicago, IL -
It was all about LGBT pride Friday and Saturday in Boystown as part of the two-day Chicago Pride Fest, which is the prelude to the 42nd annual Chicago Pride Parade on Sunday, June 26.
Now in its 9th year, Chicago Pride Fest included an eclectic line-up of arts and crafts, food and other vendors plus two entertainment stages.
Crystal Water, Kim English and Inaya Day entertained the large crowd of people gathered on Halsted St. near Grace on Saturday. Friday night, Deborah Cox and Ultra Nate headlined the festival.
Local entertainment included the Windy City Cowboys, ROTC, Rock Candy, Sixteen Candles and more.
Chicago Pride Fest is hosted by and benefits the Northalsted Business Alliance, the same group behind the popular Northalsted Market Days, set for the weekend of August 13 and 14 in Boystown.
Chicago's Pride Weekend culminates with the Chicago Pride Parade, which steps off at Noon on Sunday from Belmont and Halsted Street in Boystown. The parade will then proceed north on Halsted to Broadway; then south on Broadway to Diversey; then east on Diversey to Cannon Drive. (View the parade route map)
