The entire Star Wars(R) universe comes to life in Wizards of the Coast Inc.'s new Star Wars roleplaying game (RPG).
Based on the space fantasy saga known throughout the world, the Star Wars RPG lets players create unique Star Wars characters that become a part of the expanded Star Wars universe.
Designed by Bill Slavicsek, Andy Collins and JD Wiker, the versatile Star Wars RPG allows players to set an adventure in any time period of the Star Wars saga from the Star Wars movies, novels and comic books. With upcoming releases for the Star Wars RPG, previously unreleased information will be available through game sourcebooks and accessories.
The full spirit of the Star Wars universe is captured in the core rulebook for the Star Wars RPG with precise statistics on characters and vehicles, as well as information on the Force and its powers. Containing complete game rules and information on how to begin a game and create a character, the core rulebook is the must-have comprehensive guide for anyone wanting to play the Star Wars RPG. The core rulebook is also visually appealing with full-color stills from the movies, as well as many new illustrations. Scheduled to release on Nov. 22, the Star Wars RPG core rulebook will have a suggested retail price of $34.95.
For Star Wars fans new to RPGs, Wizards of the Coast will also release the Star Wars: Invasion of Theed Adventure Game (suggested retail $14.95) on Nov. 22. Based on Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace, this introductory adventure game is ideal for beginning RPG players and includes everything needed to start play -- including rules, maps, dice, character sheets and an exclusive Wookiee Star Wars action figure from Hasbro.
