Chicago, IL -
State Representative Sara Feigenholtz (D-Chicago) continues her listening tour of the 12th district this weekend with a series of events aimed at increasing citizen participation in the legislative process.
"The legislature will be in Springfield for almost the entire month of May, leaving me with less time in Chicago to speak directly with my constituents," Feigenholtz said.
Area residents are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts and ideas with Feigenholtz, including issue of importance to the LGBT community including comprehensive state-provided HIV/AIDS care.
On Saturday, April 30, Feigenholtz will host the inaugural meetings of her Education Advisory Committee at 10:00 a.m., LGBT Advisory Committee at 11:15 a.m. and the Senior Citizen Advisory Committee at 12:15 p.m. in the 23rd District Police Station's community room at 850 W. Addison.
Feigenholtz will host a Town Hall Meeting on Sunday, May 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nettelhorst Elementary Auditorium, 3252 N. Broadway. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and give their feedback on state matters.
For more information or to RSVP, contact Rep. Feigenholtz's constituent services office at (773) 296-4141.
"I am looking forward to having these discussions with 12th district residents before heading back to Springfield," said Feigenholtz.
