Lady Gaga to donate some proceeds from 'Born This Way' to gay group

Tue. April 5, 2011

Los Angeles - Lady Gaga will donate some of the money she's making from the new country version of "Born This Way" to the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).

The group will get a portion of the sales of the iTunes release, which you can download here.

MTV said some of the lyrics on the country version are a little different: "If I wanna make it country, baby, it's OK/ 'Cause I was born, I was born, I was born this way/ From London, Paris, Japan back to USA/ I was born on the road, I was born to be brave."

LadyGaga.com's home page featured a direct link to GLSEN on Tuesday afternoon.

GLSEN fights bullying in schools and works to help kids of all sexual orientations succeed.

Dan Savage's "It Gets Better" project is also a GLSEN donor.
