Chicago, IL -
All Terrain Productions, event marketing firm and trend spotters, are shaking up Thursday nights in Chicago with the re-launch of "Sol Air" - a weekly party/music series featuring live music and DJ's. Sol Air takes flight every Thursday night beginning at 9 p.m. at Green Dolphin Street, 2200 N. Ashland. $10.00 cover.
Green Dolphin Street, well known as a great restaurant and jazz club in River West, also features a separate club bar -- which is well-adorned and features a dramatic floor-to-ceiling liquor case, well-stocked with libations.
Headlining the evening is "Mr. A.L.I." an African/Latin influenced band. The band was put together by dance industry veteran producer Jere McAllister and his partner Vick Lavander. McAllister has remixed for the likes of INXS, Diana Ross, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Simply Red, and many others. Carla Prather (from Poi Dog Pondering) joins dance music diva Dajae (who enjoyed the #1 spot on Billboard's Dance Music Chart) on the band's vocals.
"This band is unbelievably talented, "says Brook Jay, All Terrain. "The first time I saw Mr.. A.L.I perform I was in awe of their ability to get people up and moving in the same manner a DJ might, but offering the benefit of watch live music being performed."
