Dolly Parton worked '9 to 5' in the Windy City

Chicago, IL - On Wednesday night, Chicago rolled out the red carpet for The Queen of Country, Dolly Parton, as she descended on the Windy City for the opening of "9 to 5: The Musical."

Parton was greeted by cheering fans as she pulled up to the Bank of America Theatre in her Dollymobile. She then posed on the red carpet for pictures.



Gov. Pat Quinn took the stage to proclaim January 19th, "Dolly Parton Day" in Chicago. To top off the evening, the audience sang an impromptu chorus of Happy Birthday to Parton, who was celebrating her 65th birthday.

"Thank you for all of the birthday wishes. I will always love you," Parton Tweeted.

Dolly Rebecca Parton was born to tobacco farmer Robert Parton and his wife Avie in Tennessee. She is a two-time Golden Globe nominated actress, a theme park owner and one of the most successful country singers of all time.



"9 to 5: The Musical" will play the Bank of America Theater thru January 30, 2011.
