Eliad Cohen – the multi-talented, openly-gay Israeli who now lives in South Florida – is musically motivated in 2024. He has been deeply engrossed in producing new music, exploring diverse sounds and collaborative ventures. It’s been a highly creative period for the muscle-packed 36-year-old whose resume includes producer, actor, model, entrepreneur and more.
His goal is to release his first album by the end of the year and as part of that commitment, he’s launching a new track each month.
“I am preparing for a packed summer with international performances and the release of some self-written tracks. It’s shaping up to be an exhilarating time,” Cohen said. “Every day brings new opportunities for learning and growth, which I embrace in my personal life and professional endeavors.”
Cohen’s first four tracks are “In Common,” “Rolling in the Deep,” “Hide U” and “Ain’t Your Geisha.” Each track brings a distinct vibe and narrative, reflecting various facets of his musical exploration.
“These (four) songs vary from dynamic dance tracks to more reflective melodies,” Cohen said. “The first three are covers of iconic songs whose lyrics have always resonated with me. I collaborated with some of my favorite vocalists: Nikki Valentine, Michael Ben David and Meital De Razon to reimagine these tracks with fresh, club-friendly beats. The latest track, “Ain’t Your Geisha” holds a special place as it’s the first song he’s written and produced myself.
“’Ain’t Your Geisha’ is incredibly dear to me. It confronts stereotypes and champions personal resilience,” Cohen said. “Crafting this song was my first solo venture into songwriting and production, marking a significant milestone in my career. The emotional response it evokes during performances, especially when the audience sings along, is profoundly moving.”
Cohen is driven to explore and merge different musical styles. “I believe music knows no boundaries, and I’m passionate about pushing creative limits,” he said.
He is planning a tour later this year with many more collaborations forthcoming.
Cohen hit 1 million streams on Spotify in just 3 months this year which, he said, was mind-blowing. “I am incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from my listeners. It fuels my motivation to continue innovating and exceeding artistic boundaries,” he said. “I am profoundly grateful for the chance to pursue what I love and share it globally. Each stream, download, and piece of feedback is immensely valuable to me.”
Cohen kicked off Pride Month on June 1 at Dallas Pride.
“Pride Month is always a poignant reminder of how far we’ve come and the important work that still lies ahead for equality and acceptance. It’s a period for celebrating love in all its forms and standing united with the LGBTQ+ community,” he said. “(Pride Month) is consistently a highlight of my year.”
He is releasing a special “Pride 2024” set with original tracks.
“My most cherished Pride memory is from Tel Aviv Pride 2010,” he said. “I was 21, freshly out of the closet, and I gave a speech in front of 30,000 people. The adrenaline and energy I felt were unparalleled.
“The vibrant energy and excitement surrounding (Pride Month) events make it an ideal time to connect with fans and debut new music.”
