Meet Me @ The Altar performs Chicago Pride Fest on Saturday, June 17

Tue. June 13, 2023

The 22nd annual Chicago Pride Fest, June 17 & 18

Pop-punk stars Meet Me @ The Altar grace the Chicago Pride Fest stage on Saturday, June 17.

The band–comprised of guitarist-bassist Téa Campbell, drummer Ada Juarez and lead vocalist Edith Victoria–has reignited the genre with their refreshing mix of earworm pop melodies, blazing guitar riffs, and punk attitude.

Following the release of their ace debut album Past // Present // Future, the trio is adding more tour dates to their calendar, including Chicago.

One thing MM@TA prides itself on is its strong sisterhood, which was initially formed in 2015.

What isn’t lost on the band is the importance of seeing Black and Brown women, some of whom identify as LGBTQ, occupy spaces that have historically been dominated by white, cis males.

Meet Me @ The Altar performs the North Stage (Halsted & Grace) at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17.

Organized by the Northalsted Business Alliance, Chicago Pride Fest runs Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on N. Halsted St. from Addison to Grace in Chicago's Proudest Neighborhood.

The two-day street festival takes place the weekend before the 53rd annual Chicago Pride Parade on June 25.

A $15 suggested donation is recommended. Donations support local nonprofits and fund community projects like the Chicago Pride Crosswalks.
