Booking photo released of Colorado Springs shooter, murder suspect

The Colorado Springs Police Department released the booking photo of Anderson Lee Aldrich. Court filings show that Aldrich identifies as nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns.

Aldrich was arrested last Sunday, charged with a mass shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Five persons were killed and 19 injured at the LGBTQ venue just before a Transgender Day of Remembrance event was about to begin.

Those killed include Daniel Aston, 28; Kelly Loving, 40; Ashley Paugh, 35; Derrick Rump; and Raymond Green Vance, 22.

The suspect used a semi-automatic rifle.

The 22-years old suspect was subdued mainly by U.S. Army veteran Richard Fierro, and entertainer Thomas James.

A motive remains unclear, according to NBC News.

There will be a hearing on December 6.

CBS News reported that Colorado Springs unveiled a giant LGBTQ pride flag at City Hall to honor the victims.
