Congressional campaign manager's anti-gay Tweets

Mon. September 13, 2010

Indianapolis, Ind. - Stan Solomon, campaign manager for Indiana Republican congressional candidate Marvin Scott, is a passionate fan of Twitter, and he likes to Tweet some harsh anti-gay rhetoric.

"Homosexuality is wrong and dangerous to everyone," "Filthy Queer wants kids of 14 for sex," "U should not allow queers around kids," and "Gay stands for Got AIDS Yet?" are just some of the Tweets, according to WISH-TV.

Solomon's previous career was as a right-wing radio host.

"I don't know what he wrote, so I can't comment on it. But I do want to say I apologize to that community," Scott told WISH. "I'm disappointed to hear this, and I am taking steps to remedy that."

Scott wouldn't specify what actions he's planning to take.
