Chicago, IL -
Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN) has announced details of the organization's annual fall fundraising event, the Aware Affair, to be held on Saturday, September 11 at the Ravenswood Billboard Factory located at 4011 N. Ravenswood. The event will feature 1980's icons and industrial vibe in the modern loft space.
Co-chairs for the event, Todd Armbruster, Robert T. Cichocki, Toby Eveland, and Scott Silverman, and the event committee will transform the venue's third floor atrium into a VIP Mile High Club and private cocktail lounge with an adjacent outdoor terrace for donors attending the reception at 6:30 p.m. VIP guests will also sip champagne and premium libations and nosh on culinary creations from one of Chicago's premier degustation masters during the award presentation for this year's distinguished honorees. As the evening progresses, VIP guests will have access to an exclusive lounge with cocktail service on the main floor.
"Many of those who serve on the planning committee have unbelievable talents and great respect for TPAN's mission," said Todd Armbruster. "We've created a unique event that has something for everyone, while supporting an extraordinary organization."
At 7:30 p.m., the venue's main floor and classic car showroom will be transformed into a ‘80s Ultra Lounge where guests will graze from a savory buffet of comfort classics, peruse an array of silent auction prizes and artwork, and watch an eclectic variety of performance art and entertainment.
"This year, we've constructed a silent auction that's filled with leisure items to help anyone escape the hustle and bustle of daily life in Chicago," said Scott Silverman. "Posh hotel stays, dinner at some of Chicago's most extravagant restaurants, eclectic artwork, and other rejuvenating novelties are just the start of what you'll find!" For a complete list of silent auction items and raffle prizes, visit the TPAN Web site at www.tpan.com and click on the Aware Affair icon.
A wide variety of entertainers will transport Aware Affair guests back in time to the ‘80s. Inaside Dance and MidTangent Productions will grace dual stages, in addition to performances lead by Scott Jones who Chicago Takes Off guests will remember as the Ringmaster in "Under a Big Top" as well as his Jeff-Nominated break-out performance as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, in the hit revival of "The Rocky Horror Show." In addition to the stage spectaculars, nationally-recognized DJ Guy Smith will be donating his time and talent to complete the vibe atmosphere throughout the evening.
